With the holidays just around the corner, we have a Holiday Shopping Challenge: Buy only four gifts this year for the special people on your list. 1) Something they Want 2) Something they Need 3) Something to Wear and 4) Something to Read. I love this because it ticks all the boxes and doesn’t have to cost a fortune. Whether you pick a single family member to do this for or you do it for a short list of friends, it can be done affordably. Something you wear could be hand cream, nailpolish, socks or a scarf, something you read could be an inspiring or favourite saying, handwritten or typed up and printed to be framed. It could be a magazine, a foreign newspaper or a book. A need or a want can be something you figure out on your own (new mittens so the person stops borrowing yours) or you can ask the person what they need or want. If it’s more than you can afford, get creative with it. With a little out-of-the-box thinking, you can have a lot of fun with these guidelines and stay within your budget.
